There are so many independent Sixth-Form colleges around, all offering much the same qualifications and experience – which is the market for students is particularly competitive and the ability to be distinctive and stand out with your offer is so hard. WQE are one of the countries premier Sixth-Forms but still struggled to get their message across, in particular what it was like to be part of the college everyday and how students fresh out of school would cope with the transition to semi-independent learning.

That is why they came to us. Sable&Hawkes are experts in brand positioning, defining a brand message that is unique and distinctive in market and communicating that message clearly, creatively and personally.

Sable and Hawkes conducted a comprehensive brand review combining staff, pupil and stakeholder interviews with market and desk research before coming up with a brand audit report and new brand positioning statement. Be Extraordinary. This was combined with art directed student and environment photography, creative copywriting and bold messaging around indivdiual ambition.

The new brand strategy was then delivered through a unique, oversized college prospectus format combined with a deliberately clean and simple college website design.

Sable and Hawkes also delivered a new brand toolkit to accompany the new brand positioning, this included a library of art directed personal portrait, environment and reportage photography, a full set of visual identity guidelines as well as producing a set of tone of voice guideline to help assist non professional writing staff deliver a more consistent brand experience .
